Buying Guide
- Material and durability: Ceramic options are sturdy and can handle regular use at parties; acrylic or plastic variants are lighter and more shatter-resistant for outdoor events.
- Capacity and pouring: Most designs range from about 2 to 3 oz. Consider your preferred drinking style and the type of spirits you’ll serve when choosing capacity.
- Design and humor level: Porta potty motifs range from mildly cheeky to bold. Match the humor with the occasion and guest list to avoid misfires at formal events.
- Care and cleaning: Some items are dishwasher-safe while others recommend hand washing. If hosting a large gathering, machine-washable sets can save time.
- Gift appeal: Sets featuring multiple glasses make stronger gag gifts or white elephant picks; single, high-impact pieces work well as stocking stuffers or desk novelties.
- Packaging and presentation: Look for clear packaging or display-ready presentation when giving as a gift; some sets include themed packaging suitable for gifting.
- Alternatives to note: If you want a less provocative option, consider novelty shot glasses with other humorous themes (e.g., animals, memes) that still provide conversation starters without explicit content.
